I haven't read Prince Caspian either in addition to those, so I guess I have 3 of them to read.

I remember the Rankin & Bass movie Flight of Dragons which is apparently based on Dragon Knight. I may check those out. The Childe Cycle sounds interesting too.

I finished Brisingr the day after I posted this. I think I'll finish up LotR before moving on to new novels.

If you haven't tried them already, I highly recommend Gordon Dickson's "Childe Cycle" stories (sometimes incorrectly called the Dorsai series). It is, to a large extent, a military-themed series, but it's true, overall theme, is the evolution of Man. Start with "Dorsai!" (originally published in 1959), because it provides the background for the whole. Follow with "Necromancer", and "Tactics of Mistake". "Soldier, Ask Not", "The Final Encyclopedia", "The Chantry Guild", "Young Bleys", and "Other" round out the main story line, but there are other, side-stories, as well, such as "Lost Dorsai", "Brothers", and "Amanda".

For a rollicking, side-splitting, uproariously fun read, try the "Hoka" series by Dickson and Poul Anderson. These short stories are collected in two editions: "Hoka! Hoka! Hoka!" and "Hokas Pokas!" Imagine an extraterrestrial race that prefers to role-play than to actually be themselves. Cowboys and Indians, Pirates, Victorian London (including Sherlock Holmes), etc. And the Ambassador from Earth has to play along.... (Did I mention that Hokas are about 3 ft tall, and resemble teddy bears?)

For Fantasy, Gordy's "Dragon Knight" series is also exceptional. Start with "The Dragon and the George."

In my opinion, the last two books in Narnia (If you mean "The Silver Chair" and "The Last Battle") are the best in the whole series. The ending to Narnia is really good.
