I can think of few concepts less appealing than Black Friday:
> Getting up stupid early,
> To go shopping,
> In a mob of people... who got up stupid early to go shopping.
All on the morning after (and increasingly the day of) a holiday dedicated to thankfulness for what we have.
Buying things we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't like.

^ All reasons why I've never participated. In fact, the only thing less appealing to me than Black Friday shopping is "Black Friday" sales that start on Thanksgiving evening and force retail workers to deal with your crap and 5,000 coupons instead of being with their family. -_-
